Having words

By Alfred corn
They'd started meeting by night at the only local, A seething crowd drawn from among the loudest Words, swearing, conspiring, over tankards of ale. In sour chiaroscuro their clenched faces by moments Looked too grievance or was it expressive for comfort.

Rage drowns out background sounds such as summer Crickets, the result, that one of them, in humid Darkness, stops rasping his metal comb. It's clear That the rally of Words will turn demonic, That before night ends they'll be up in arms.

Even the rawest learner can in a clock tick Become aware of the name it's called by. Which He tries on Cricket Cricket till he thinks: Your name Amounts to a sound, nothing more. Trundling on Towards the defiant Words, he says, No. No, I Am Deuce.

Naked pizza

(this is a poem i wrote sometime back when i went to naked pizza to see one of my friend's performance)

Should I start formal or should I start... Well naked.

strip down to awesomeness and let your eyes bare witness

Witness flavor in diversity, witness true nudity

For god created natural, but its honesty that made me a delicacy

I got other naked stuff as well, my diversity doesn't just flare on explicitly

I got liquids to quench your thirst, come spiced with unmatched authenticity

And it they ask, tell them am the one and only eating spree

For I am the naked pizza, and satisfaction is my reality.

Playing poker cards with the grim

Speed sure drives me crazy, insanely obsessed with the feeling of air brush through my skin, the adrenaline pump on my veins, the near death thumping of my heart, I just love it. Tightening my grip on the accelerator, my Suzuki pops a wheelie, zooming through highway lane 3, am hitting 180km\h. I close my eyes for that split second of suicide excitement, I can feel my body revolting against my actions, my grip on the accelerator turning alarmingly tight, my eyes humming with fear under their lids, yes my soul's at its peek. This feeling... Like the loose rope from a bungee jump, like skiing in front of an avalanche, like a robbery with a loaded cocked 9mm on my head, sure feels like am playing death poker with the grim ripper. my head's spinning with crashing imaginations as I feel the grim lays his fingers on my neck. I open my eyes and bring my front tire to solid earth. Pulling over the highway next to an oak tree, a grin wide as the Gotham's joker smile, trying to relax my shaking body and lay under the tree's shade " I definitely have to do that again!!!"

Thick Clouds

Skidding past the old cemetery, an unease feeling takes over my inner senses. Melancholy? Maybe... But a sudden guilt conscious earthed by the sleeping dead crawls up my skin, sending spinal chills all the way down to my crotch. Bringing the car to a slow halt, my muffler seems about the only sound stretching far against the deafening mellows, disturbing the silence of the burial grounds. I stutter my first steps like a baby staggering to maintain balance upon discovery that walking is better than crawling. My vision is blurred, I strain to see, strain to read names, fall down to my knees, trying so hard to conceal my pain, my never ending pain. I fail to breathe, lungs squeezing my soul out as I try in vain to pull myself up from the dirt. Thick clouds stain the evening sky, yet its droplets cleanse my tormented and tattered body. I close my eyes and breathe deeply, the scent of rain on mother earth, the faint 'Blue for men' cologne, the irony that it doesn't stink of decomposing corpses. It hurts, I place my right hand over my chest, my body's warm in such a downpour. Palpitation almost seizing, I crawl over the grave. Place my hand over her tombstone and whisper " I wish I was down there instead of you love". Post accident trauma taking its trail on me, it sucks she had to leave when I was to blame, I should have died that night..."and al find my corner, maybe tonight al join you, after my blood has drowned in poison."

Just like that

just like that, a slip of the tongue floods back dispair and hatred in a less than 10 secs of an entire lifetime.
Just like that, i let go of such ties i thought grew deeper and thicker than my own spine.
Its saddening, yet humble in the way that it came out so soft with mellowy mimes.
Not everybody matures easily, for some it goes down to a hard life based on an unexpectingly twisted timeline.

Am merely a simple poet, i merely write poems based on my emotions at that particular time.
twist words for a rhyme, take my sweet time expressing me in every single line.
i keep alot to myself, hide meanings in phrases that to a mere reader ought to be blind.
but every snake shades its skin at some time, just as realisation and rejection at some particular time comes to one's mind.

its never felt this good writing poetry, i guess with time it ferments stronger than grape wine.
av never been sensitive about stuff, but now seems to get harder placing a smile to theoretical and practical lies.
in my own world am a monk, meditating in solidarity as i transverse through the heavenly skies.
levitating to a higher being, levitating from the cradle of live i thus strived.

but to be or not to be, is not a simple question as it seems to be.
to choose right from whats not, isint as easy as counting 123.
to see and to feel, are two emotions so close yet their meanings stretched further than a-z.
i may be blind to what i feel, decieved by those i see, lost to those i once heeled, but in the end...thats how i am me, thats the only factor that reminds me that am not a mere dream, am real.
